Company visits are designed to give you a first-hand insight into a company, their culture, history and business model. Site visits will give you the opportunity to explore the departments and communicate to company executives. This is a great way to understand the organization of business in the region. As part of the BJN Weekend, before the opening of the event, the participants have the opportunity to choose one visit from the following companies:

 

Food Union

Unites the best dairy and ice cream companies from 9 countries. BJN participants will have the opportunity to visit Food Union headquarters office where Latvia’s biggest dairy and ice cream producer “Rīgas piena kombināts” is located. Also its good to know that:

• Food Union is a global ice cream and dairy player with 11 production facilities in 9 countries around the world – starting from the Baltics, Northern and Central Europe, to the CIS and China.
• Food Union Europe was established in 2011 through the merger of the two largest dairy producers in Latvia: Rigas piena kombinats and Valmieras piens.
• Are the leading dairy producer in Latvia and also the leading producer of ice cream in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Denmark.
• Just for Latvian market produce more than 280 products – Lakto, Rasēns, Valmiera, Limbžu piens, Ekselence, Tio, Karlsons. Many of the brands are much-loved in all the Baltic states, for exsample – curd snack Kārums and ice-cream Pols.

Is the largest programming school in Latvia.
